Now you can experience space exploration for yourself without having to wait until the price of space flight becomes more reasonable! This is also a great opportunity to commemorate a special individual or event, or to memorialize a loved one. In recognition of the 50th anniversary of manned space travel, Photos to Space will be sending personal photos to space and back in a custom digital container stored on space bound rockets.
The first launch will take place on April 12, 2011.
In addition to encouraging individuals from around the world to get involved with space technology, the team plans to raise funds and create awareness that saves infant lives. Ten percent of the sales for this project will be donated to support First Candle’s research, education and bereavement support efforts.
