This first annual event established by Tonya and Nathan Hebert was initiated to celebrate the love and the lasting legacy of their precious daughter London Rose. London was taken from us in April 2009 by SIDS… after having been the center of her parents lives for eight long, yet unbelievably short months.

Please unite with London’s parents, friends, family on Saturday August 7, 2010 at Florida Atlantic University as we commemorate London and honor and remember all babies in Florida who have been taken from us far too early.

The afternoon will include a non-competitive 5K walk, a competitive 5k run for all you serious runners out there, along with food and beverages. There will also be an incredible raffle for some lucky winners!!

Registration fees:

Early registration (before August 1, 2010)
$20 for Adults
$40 for Families of Four or more
Babies in Strollers: FREE!

Late registration (August 1, 2010 and after)
$25 for Adults
$45 for Families of Four or more

Join us for this first annual event as we celebrate our precious daughter, Jillian, who died at five months of age from SIDS. The day will include a leisurely walk through beautiful Presque Isle State Park in Erie with registration beginning at 9:00am and the walk starting at 10:30am on August 14. Lunch will be served to all participants following the walk. Registration for the walk will be $20 for those over the age of 12. The first 300 registered participants in attendance on the day of the walk will receive t-shirts. Awards will be presented to the three teams who raise the most money.

If you are registering as a team, please be sure that your team has not already been created! The team must be created prior to registering. If it has not yet been created, click here to create a new team.

Any funds raised above the registration fee will give participants additional chances for raffles as well as other prizes that will be determined. Raffle tickets for prizes will be available for  purchase on the day of the walk. Larger prizes (i.e. Disney tickets) will be offered in separate raffles.

Come help us “Strike Out SIDS” at the 2^nd Annual Joseph Michael LeBowsky Memorial Bowling Fundraiser.  This event, now in it’s second year, is a day to remember the life of our sweet Joseph, who left us in December 2007 to SIDS.  It will be a wonderful day of bowling, great raffle prizes, food, and just plain fun!

Join us on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 12pm-4pm at the The Orleans Hotel and Casino Bowling Center (4500 W. Tropicana Ave) as we lace up our bowling shoes and enjoy an afternoon of great friends, good food, spectacular bowling, and wonderful prizes.

Please join us on Saturday, August 21 as we celebrate our precious son Dakota, who we lost to SIDS on August 21, 2009 – exactly one year ago from the date of this memorial event.

There will be food, drinks available. Tickets for the raffle will also be sold at the event during registration. which will include certificates from various business’s restaurants,theme parks zoo’s and museums.

There will also even be playground equipment and activities for the children including face painting and much more!

For all the Angels who fell asleep here on Earth and woke up in Heaven. The whole family is welcome to come out and participate!

Oldtime Baseball Game to Benefit the Marley Jaye Cherella Memorial Fund

The Oldtime Baseball Game is a celebration of our national pastime.  The game started in 1994 and brings together top baseball players from colleges and universities in the Boston area, with an occasional high school player or retired big-leaguer added to the mix.  What makes the Oldtime Baseball Game so special is the dazzling collection of flannel uniforms that represent every era in baseball history.  This year’s game will benefit the Marley Jaye Cherella Memorial Fund which was created following the tragic death of Jason and Melissa Cherella’s beautiful 5-month old daughter on February 22, 2008.  The fund will once again donate all proceeds to the research efforts of Dr. Hannah Kinney at Children’s Hospital Boston.  We are currently looking for sponsors and volunteers.  More information is available at www.marleycherellafund.org or by contacting Mike Mountain at (781) 488-3341 or info@marleycherellafund.org.

Maddox’s Celebration: Rising Above SIDS

Please join us September 25^th at the Purcell Golf Course to celebrate the life of Maddox Parker Heck; who was taken from us by SIDS on the morning of January 19, 2009.

The day will be packed full of ways to make a difference while having fun! It all begins with a MADD Dash – this 5k competitive run or leisure walk will begin at 8:30am. Registration will start at 7:30am. Fun prizes will be given to the fastest male, fastest female, and other top runners. T-Shirts will be given to the first 250 people at registration. To participate in the competitive run/leisure walk will be $20.00. Children ages 5-12 will be $10.00. If you are under the age of 4 you get in for FREE!

The next activity of the day is our SIDS Memorial Golf Tournament. This 4-Man Scramble is $65.00/player or $260.00/team. The tournament fee includes green fees, golf cart, hole-in-one challenge, two free beverages, and lunch. There will be a Mulligan Package available for purchase the day of the event. During the tournament you will have several chances to win great prizes including: Hole-In-One, Longest Drive, Longest Putt, Best Adjusted Score and many more! The tournament will begin at 10:30am. Registration will begin at 9:30am.

At the same time registration for the golf tournament begins, there will also be a Silent Art Auction going on at the Multi-Purpose Center. It will be open from 9:30am to 3:00pm. Shortly after that there will be a Memorial Service for all SIDS babies followed by a Balloon Release.

4th Annual Holton’s Drive For SIDS

Our Family’s Story

Three years ago Shawn and I lost our 2nd son Holton to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.  Since that time we have founded a charity HDS, Holton’s drive for SIDS and all proceeds go to support First Candle, whose mission is to promote safe pregnancies and the survival of babies through the first years of life. Our partnership with the group at First Candle is second to none.

We are now planning our 4th annual tournament/auction which will be held on September 25th, again at Sky Creek Ranch in Keller, TX. We are so proud of our fundraising efforts and feel so blessed to be surrounded by an amazing staff of volunteers that make it all happen.

We are reaching out to our friends and community seeking support/donations.  If you or anyone you know would like to donate, there are a number of ways you can do so. I’d be glad to personally help you and details can also be found on our website.  If you are a golfer please do not delay in signing up…those of you who have played in the past know how fast we fill up and go on a waiting list.

This event is a 100 mile Poker Run open to both motorcycles and cars with prizes awarded to the highest and lowest hands. Registration fees include your first card, lunch, live music, great raffle prizes and a silent auction.

All proceeds will benefit the Wade Thomas Barrett Memorial Fund at First Candle.
