First Candle’s Medical Directors provide broad oversight for the organization’s medical research program. Together with an ad hoc committee of internationally-recognized pediatric scientists, they are the primary source of recommendations to the board and staff on medical and scientific policy matters, expenditure of funds raised for research, identifying credible research projects and potential junior researchers, product evaluation and educational content.
