The Program Support Center's Infant Mortality Risk Reduction work team has developed three new pieces to help increase child care providers' awareness of SIDS, support them in practicing “safe sleep” techniques and prepare them should an emergency happen in their center or home. All three pieces are available for you to download and reproduce free of charge. We do ask that, in using these materials you properly credit the source by:
- Keeping intact the HRSA/MCHB and First Candle/SIDS Alliance logos and the acknowledgement text block.
- Including an acknowledgement of the First Candle/SIDS Alliance Program Support Center in any publication in which you adapt or excerpt these materials.

TOOLS RELEASED TO HELP REDUCE THE RISK OF SUDDEN INFANT DEATH SYNDROME
The American Academy of Pediatrics' Healthy Child Care America Back to Sleep Campaign has published three brochures about reducing the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
A Child Care Provider's Guide to Safe Sleep presents data and information about SIDS and safe sleep practices and is available at:
