Who Should Submit?
Submission is open, however the following groups are especially encouraged:
- Researchers
- Health Care Providers and Health Promotion Specialists
- Parents
- Bereavement Specialists
- Community-Based Organization Staff
- International, Federal, State and Local Public Health Practitioners
- Non-profit Health Advocacy Organizations – Health Promotion NGOs
General Instructions for Formatting Abstracts
Please follow the guidelines below when preparing an abstract for submission.
- All abstracts should follow the suggested format for the type of submission.
- All abstracts must be submitted in English.
- Include the first and middle initials and the last name of each author/presenter. Authors/presenters should be listed as lead/presenting author, followed by coauthors.
- An author’s/presenter’s affiliation should follow immediately after the author’s name(s).
- Use of abbreviations is desirable. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word or phrase the first time the abbreviation appears.
- Single space with a Font size of 12.
- Abstracts will be reproduced as submitted. The organizers reserve the right to reject abstracts for publication in the conference program if they do not comply with any of the instructions given in this announcement.
Tips for Writing a Good Abstract
- Follow the format and directions on this website.
- Be clear and concise. Provide only the information needed to make your point.
- Present findings (do not say that results will be discussed or forthcoming).
