The-Lancet-Stillbirth-SeriesThe Lancet Medical Journal
The Lancet is a weekly peer-reviewed medical journal. It is one of the world’s best known, oldest, and most respected general medical journals. In April 2011, The Lancet released the first global series on stillbirths. The series is the most comprehensive assessment to date of the global numbers and causes of stillbirths. The series showcased the work of 69 authors from 18 countries.

First Candle has teamed with The Lancet Medical Journal to disseminate information regarding the launch of their Stillbirth Series. The Series is designed to raise awareness of stillbirth and the need to address this issue globally. The Lancet publishes a weekly journal and three monthly specialty journals in the fields of oncology, neurology, and infectious diseases.

The Lancet’s Stillbirth Series provides the most comprehensive assessment to date of global numbers and causes of stillbirths, perceptions and beliefs around the world, and the solutions to prevent stillbirths — well-known interventions as well as innovations. This Series also includes a global call for action, key findings, and recommendations. Visit their website at www.thelancet.com.
