A West Village, New York City Event

 

Join us May 1^st for Luke’s Rock N’ Stroll II!  The two-mile run, walk and stroll begins and ends at Pier 46 in New York City’s West Village. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this moving event for runners, walkers, families and strollers. Proceeds benefit the Luke Edward Becton Memorial Fund established at First Candle by his parents, Laura and Steve Becton, to support research and grief support services.

Cross the finish line at the Rock N’ Festival and take in the live bands, food, great activities for kids and more!

In 2008, nearly 500 New Yorkers attended Luke’s Rock N’ Stroll. Celebrating Luke’s life, the event raised nearly $60,000 for the Luke Edward Becton Memorial fund at First Candle, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping babies survive and thrive. The funds were used to support research into the causes and prevention of SIDS, as well as providing essential support to families dealing with the ultimate tragedy of losing a baby.  

 

Proceeds of this year’s event will again benefit First Candle… in the belief that every baby should live.
