In 2003 the PSC partnered with the American Academy of Pediatrics and other health organizations in the development of the Healthy Child Care America Back to Sleep Campaign to reduce the disproportionate number of SIDS and sleep-related deaths that occur in child care settings.

Since then, PSC staff has educated child care providers (formal, informal, family child care, center-based), child care health consultants and early childhood educators about SIDS and sleep-related deaths in child care across the nation.
